CISO Ascent Spring 2027 Retreat Heads to Zion National Park
Before we open the 2027 season, we want to look back at the year that got us here. In 2026 we held two retreats for security leaders, one in the Colorado Rockies in the spring and one near Yellowstone in the fall. Before that, we met in October 2025 in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina.
Spring 2026 in Colorado Springs
From May 3 to 6, 2026, we were based in Colorado Springs. We walked the Seven Bridges trail in North Cheyenne Cañon, explored the Paint Mines, and rode the Cog Railway to the 14,115 ft summit of Pikes Peak. We also spent time at Garden of the Gods. You can read more on the Spring 2026 retreat page.
Fall 2026 in Bozeman, at the gates of Yellowstone
In September we went north. From September 13 to 16, 2026, the group stayed in Bozeman, Montana, and hiked to History Rock, Bunsen Peak, Wraith Falls, and Ousel Falls. The Fall 2026 retreat page has the details.
How our retreats work
Every CISO Ascent retreat is small, peer-led, and invitation-only. A few partners attend, but there are no panels, no booths, and no badges. The time is built around the trail and the conversations that happen between peers along the way.
Spring 2027: Zion National Park, May 1-5
We are opening the 2027 season in southern Utah. The Spring 2027 retreat runs May 1 to 5, 2027, with base camp in St. George, about an hour's drive from the south entrance of Zion National Park. Zion was Utah's first national park and is known for its sandstone cliffs, its slot canyons, and the Virgin River.
Attendees will spend three to five days with us, depending on how long each person stays. The hikes are generally rated easy to moderate and suit most fitness levels. We will publish the full itinerary soon.
