CISO Ascent is run by a board of ten sitting security leaders. To join, a candidate needs sponsorship from two current directors and a two-thirds vote of the board.

How members are chosen

Board nominees undergo a multi-layer review of strategic impact, executive leadership, and industry contributions. Candidates must be sponsored by two current board members before entering the vetting process.

The Board of Directors sets the organization’s strategic direction. The Board Chair serves as CISO Ascent’s top leadership position, driving the mission forward, shaping direction with the board, and ensuring day-to-day operations.
