The next destination is Zion. The reason we are going is the same as it has always been: good people, meaningful connections, and room to recharge.

Registration is officially open for CISO Ascent's Spring 2027 executive retreat, May 1-5, 2027, with base camp in St. George, Utah, near Zion National Park.

This will be our fourth retreat, and we could not be more excited to bring the community together again. After Asheville, Colorado Springs, and Yellowstone, we are taking the next chapter to southern Utah's red rock country.

A Community Built One Ascent at a Time

When we gathered in Asheville in October 2025, we set out to create something different for cybersecurity leaders. A smaller group. Real conversations. Time outside. An opportunity to get to know the person behind the title.

That idea carried us to Colorado Springs in May 2026 and to Bozeman and Yellowstone in September. Each retreat brought new people into the community and gave returning members another chance to reconnect.

The destinations have been extraordinary. But the most meaningful part has been watching a group of peers become people who can reach out to one another long after the trip is over.

Space to Step Away, and People Who Understand

Security leadership carries a weight that can be difficult to explain to someone who has never held the role. The decisions are consequential, the pace rarely slows, and there is always another issue competing for your attention.

CISO Ascent creates room to step away from that pace and spend time with peers who understand it.

Our retreats are built around shared experiences rather than presentation schedules. There are no panels, booths, or badges. A few select partners join us, and the conversations happen naturally on the trail, over a meal, or during an unhurried ride back to base camp.

Come for the adventure. Leave with people you can call.

The Next Chapter: Zion National Park

From our base in St. George, we will explore the landscapes in and around Zion National Park. Towering sandstone walls, open desert views, and southern Utah's night skies provide a remarkable setting for the next gathering.

The Spring 2027 plans include:

  • Outdoor experiences with different levels of challenge, including hikes in Zion and the surrounding red rock landscapes.
  • Shared meals and time together, with room for the conversations that make this community valuable.
  • Optional adventures for members who want more time outdoors, including an evening in Kolob Canyons and a challenging Water Canyon hike.
  • A small, invitation-only group that keeps the experience personal and gives people time to get to know one another.

We are continuing to shape the experience around member feedback, with flexibility for different arrival plans and optional activities. As always, the schedule may adjust for weather, trail conditions, and the group.
