The best thing we brought home from Yellowstone was the time we spent together.
CISO Ascent has wrapped up a successful Fall 2026 retreat, bringing cybersecurity leaders to Bozeman, Montana, and Yellowstone country September 13-16 for outdoor adventure, meaningful conversation, and time to recharge.
Following our gatherings in Asheville and Colorado Springs, this third retreat marked another step forward for a community built around people, trust, and shared experiences.
Another Chapter, Another Shared Experience
There is something valuable about spending a few days with people who understand the responsibilities of security leadership. You do not need to explain why the work can be demanding, or why getting a little distance from it matters.
Our Fall retreat gave members that space. Returning faces and new connections came together around the same simple idea: step outside the usual routine and make time for one another.

Yellowstone Country, One Trail at a Time
With Bozeman as our base camp, the retreat brought together experiences in Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding Montana landscape.
The Yellowstone day centered on Mammoth Terraces, Old Faithful, and Midway Geyser Basin with Grand Prismatic Spring. Hyalite Reservoir anchored the following morning, adding quiet water and mountain views to a program built around time outside.
The places were memorable. So were the conversations along the way. A trail offers time for an exchange to continue without a meeting ending or another presentation beginning.
Why We Keep Coming Together
CISO Ascent was created to cultivate an enduring community of cybersecurity executives who connect, collaborate, and recharge together.
Our retreats give that mission a setting. They bring people into a shared experience where trust has time to form and professional relationships can become something more personal.
There are no panels, booths, or badges. A small group of peers and a few partners spend time outside, share meals, and get to know one another. That simplicity is part of what makes these gatherings meaningful.
Yellowstone followed the Blue Ridge Mountains in October 2025 and the Colorado Rockies in May 2026. Three different destinations, with the same commitment to the people who make up this community.
